We asked our teammates to share what inspired them to pursue their careers, and why they chose to become part of the Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital family. Their reasons may be unique, but they share a common commitment to community, creating personal connections and a desire to provide an expert patient experience to everyone who trusts EBCH for care.
STAFF EDUCATOR & INFECTION PREVENTION COORDINATOR
An Ely native, Tiffany is passionate about helping patients, staff and her community stay healthy, safe and strong. Devoted to lifelong learning, Tiffany embraces her ever-evolving role in healthcare and credits the strong team dynamic at EBCH for her success as an educator and as a provider. “Our team works hard to make a difference,” she shared. Tiffany’s dedication to patient care, paired with her strong connection to community, is how she’s able to bring her best every day. For every patient.
Even under her mask, you can be certain that EBCH receptionist Morgan is all smiles. “I love working with and helping people,” she shared. Able to create personal connections with everyone she meets, Morgan’s positivity and natural ability to put people at ease is valuable to the EBCH team—and priceless to the many people she encounters every day. Helping every way she can.
CARDIOPULMONARY REHAB TEAM LEADER
Tommy credits his passion for fitness, combined with a strong desire to help his community, for leading him to healthcare. As the cardiopulmonary rehab team leader, Tommy’s passion, drive and determination help him provide superior care. “I wanted to use my gifts to help others live healthier lives,” Tommy shared. Committed to creating personal connections, Tommy puts his heart into every patient who trusts him for care. In every situation.
CHEMOTHERAPY REGISTERED NURSE
Motivated by her father’s cancer diagnosis, chemotherapy registered nurse and Epic-credentialed trainer, Heidi, is a natural nurturer who provides compassionate care to patients when they most need help. Her reason for choosing EBCH is simple; it’s all about teamwork. “Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital has a great staff,” Heidi shared. She credits the many doctors, nurses, techs and administrators who share her commitment to helping, and inspire her to be her very best every day. For every patient and every family member.
RADIOLOGY TEAM LEADER
When Victor was young, his father suffered complete paralysis of his lower body which inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare. As the director of medical imaging, Victor is as dedicated about maintaining superior imaging quality, as he is about providing superior patient care—and he makes it his priority to help those who feel overwhelmed or uneasy. His devotion and enthusiasm help to make an intimidating process more positive for every patient. And provide support and compassion every day.
Registered nurse Cortney credits her love for people—and passion to help patients live their healthiest lives—for choosing her career in case management and utilization review. Helping patients follow care plans, Cortney’s impact on patients’ health and healing is, quite often, life-changing. “Helping others be their best, healthiest versions of themselves (provides) so much gratification,” she shared. “It fills my cup.” Making it her priority to be the best every day. Creating customized care to best help every patient.
Chris is a third generation pharmacist who chose EBCH to help improve people’s health—and lives. His approach to patient care is simple, but invaluable. “I take the time to understand and empathize with each patient, and make sure they get the best, most timely, and most financially responsible care possible,” he said. Chris is proud of the EBCH team, and the shared high standards of patient care. “I can confidently say that when patients come to EBCH, everyone cares about them. From the cleaning staff, to the executive team, everyone tries their hardest to give the best care possible to every single person.” Every teammate. Every relationship.
