Reopening for Care. Safer than Ever.

At Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital, your safety has always been our top priority. And in the recent weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have incorporated even stricter protocols to protect everyone who walks through our doors. As we resume elective procedures and specialty services, we appreciate your patience and are pleased to return to caring for you and your family. If you’ve been delaying care, we welcome you back with the reassurance that your health and safety is—and has always been—our primary concern.

Resuming elective surgeries with extra precautions

As we transition back to our regular operations, we are following rigid safety standards, plus additional guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health, to protect patients returning for elective procedures. The combined precautions will help us monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) and make sure both our patients and staff stay safe. If you need care, or your procedure was scheduled before the COVID-19 shutdown and you have not been contacted, call our Surgery Department at 218-365-8724. Thank you in advance for your patience as we get back to full speed.

Specialty services with special safeguards

We are also resuming specialty services in orthapaedics, podiatry and urology. Patients can meet with their providers during their regularly scheduled appointments throughout the remainder of May and into early June. Adhering to the same guidelines from the state that are layered onto our already-elevated precautions, expect quality care with the highest safety standards in place. For questions or to schedule an appointment, call 218-365-8725.

Additional safety measures: what to expect

As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, here are some things you can expect when you come for care. All visitors, guests and patients must wear a mask. Anyone who enters the facility needs to answer a brief health questionnaire. All patients and staff will have their temperature checked upon arrival at EBCH.

Your health is why we do what we do. Please trust that we are ready to safely provide the help you need if, and when, you need us. As always, if you are experiencing symptoms that require emergency attention, please seek help immediately.

We are here to help—just call!

If you have any concerns, call to talk to an EBCH receptionist who will answer your questions or direct you to someone who can. Don’t worry about getting lost in an automated call; we’ve updated our systems so you can get the answers you need, when you need them most.
Call 218-365-3271, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Someone will be here to answer your call!
