Outside of work, Dr. Bollins and his family enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time at their Ely cabin. He made a strong connection to the Ely community when he was still in college. "My first and only experience with Minnesota before moving up here with my wife and two young children in 2007 was in Ely," he said. "Ely was my takeoff point to experience the BWCA for the first time. I took this trip right after I graduated from college and prepared to enter medical school. I was completely taken aback by the beauty of the area and had many firsts, including portaging a canoe, hearing a loon, seeing the Northern Lights, and a close bull moose encounter. I also remember walking down the streets of Ely for the first time and being drawn into the small-town lifestyle. I sat and wondered how resetting and rewarding it could be to leave the urban lifestyle for a life more connected to the outdoors and nature."
We are proud to welcome Dr. Bollins to Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital, call the EBCH Specialty Clinic at 218-365-8793 to schedule an appointment.
