Community Services

EBCH is involved in the community, whether it be a member of the Joint Powers Board, sponsoring a health council, or hosting a support group. Here are some of the programs and services in which we participate.

Community Health Council

The Community Health Council, sponsored by Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital and the Ely and Babbitt Clinics, is a group of community members who facilitate communication between health care providers and area citizens. The goal is to enhance the quality of health care through cooperative involvement and open, accurate communication.

How does the Community Health Council serve you?

Talk with a council member about your health care service concern or suggestion (call 365-7405).
The council member will direct the issue to the appropriate person at the hospital or clinic.
Maintaining confidentiality throughout the process, the council member will reply with follow-up information.
Instead of listening to hearsay or speculation, you will receive an informed explanation from the appropriate source.
Accurate information is given to the community, thus building a trusting relationship between the community and health care providers.
