David Peterson was born and raised in Ely and returned in 1998 after his retirement. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, David was a professional engineer specializing in construction administration. Actively involved in community service throughout his lifetime, David's activities include membership in Rotary, Ely Airport Commission, Listening Point Foundation and St. Louis County Individual Sewage Treatment Advisory Board.

Dr. Frank Udovich was born and raised in Chisholm and moved to Ely in 1966 to start his dentistry practice. A graduate of the University of Minnesota's School of Dentistry, Dr. Udovich has been practicing dentistry for almost 40 years.

Dr. Joe Just has been an Ely resident since 1993. A graduate of the University of Chicago Medical School, Dr. Just was a practicing physician for thirty years in suburban Chicago. Actively involved in the Ely Kiwanis, Dr. Just also enjoys membership in AΩA, medical honor society and Mensa.

Norma Cersine has lived in Babbitt since 1954 and presently enjoys the family company of four generations in town. Working for the Minnesota Revenue as a collection officer since 1993, Norma previously worked in banking, primarily as a business banker. She brings a great understanding of the budgeting process, balance sheets and financial statements to the Board.

Born in Marquette, Michigan, Roger moved to Ely in 1989. A graduate of Michigan Technical University in Civil Engineering, Roger recently retired after 33 years of service as a Forest Engineer with the U.S Forest Service. His community involvement includes Kiwanis, Nordic Ski Club, and Ely Elementary Special Education Reading Program.

Joany Haag is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a major in Public and Community Health. Her minor in Gerontology with a special emphasis on the needs of seniors is a perfect match for Ely Bloomenson. WELY office manager and extensively involved in the Ely community, you would best know Joany as the voice on the WELY Radio Morning Show.

Tony has been President of the Boundary Waters Bank in Ely since June of 2004. A graduate of St. John's University, Tony has been in the field of banking since 1976. He has held management positions in different banking institutions in Tower, Babbitt, Cook and Ely.
